"Songs About the Land of Lincoln" is the debut album by Illinois First!, the band that sets the history and geography of the Prairie State to a dynamic rock and roll soundtrack.

Recorded in April 2004 with producer Jeff Panall (former drummer for Songs Ohia), the album presents nine vignettes from the colorful saga of the 21st State.

The disk features Rob Cruz on accordion, John Greenfield on guitar, Brent Olds on bass and Mia Park on drums. The music ranges from roots rock to bossa nova; from punk to funk; from spaghetti western soundtrack to hip-hop to old-time drinking song; all performed with a spirit of fun and adventure.
